At least to my knowledge, there seems to be no way to disable site notifications.

I like to post answers to KA questions in my free time. The problem is, I get a lot of blue-dot notifications (above my name), because many people reply to me. A large portion of them are disrespectful comments, and the KA mod team seems to be very slow (or even unresponsive) when I flag the comments.

I don't want to go back and delete all my answers, because I know people benefit from them. But having the blue dot constantly on is annoying, because I can't help but want to check what's going on.

Is there a way to disable site notifications?
If not, can we please get an option to disable site notifications altogether?

I can relate. I get many notifications of people adding unhelpful comments to threads I posted in months or years ago. I've been told that KA guardians typically review flags on recent posts within a couple days, but my experience is that it often takes them a week or longer (even when I flagged the post within 12 hours of it being made).

I wish there were a way for me to leave my post in a thread but turn off all notifications from that thread that are not addressing me. (That would probably also need a way for users to tag each other in the Discussion section of the content.)

I have become very discouraged with how difficult and annoying it is to provide help to other users on Khan Academy. I keep thinking it would be logical for Khan Academy to make it easy and rewarding, since they count on other users to answer the Questions people post.
