Hint Option is Gone
I downloaded the Khan Academy app on my iPad today, after previously only using it on the web browser, and noticed a few differences — the biggest being that when answering questions, the ‘hint’ option is only available after getting a question wrong. This means that if I don’t understand something, instead of clicking it and choosing to watch one of the recommended videos / the step-by-step tutorial and then trying to attempt the problem, I have to ‘get it wrong’, and even then, the recommended video doesn’t seem to be related to the question.
I’ve also had the same recommended video pop up for the ‘hint’ option while working in the math section for several problems in a row, however it only loosely related to them and did not actually help (graphing for slope intercept showing up while working on parabolas, for example), whereas whenever I used the web browser the videos seemed to be accurate and helpful.
As far as I can tell, the web browser still supports the correct videos and the hint option (as well as the notifications bar/profile that so far I can’t see in the app, but that doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal and might just be me not exploring it entirely). I’m not sure if this is just a malfunction of my iPad or the app itself, however. Thank you!
