An issue with leveling down

Yes it is very frustrating and it gets worse second time.

Being nervous makes me do more mistakes and I end up with two or three different skills leveled down because I am concentrating on the problematic questions and try to get over with the others I am bored already.

The worst is when I complete the unit test without any mistake and still not getting maximum levels, because I have to repeat it at least once again at least!

There should be some limitation how bad you can level down your already proved skills.

I would be happy if I need to complete the unit tests flawlessly max two times to max the actual unit.

I agree that leveling down is very discouraging and feels like punishment for kids, talk about encouraging perfectionism. I don't think that people should be rewarded for but leveling down is punishing. Back in the day, the tests were designed so that you just kept answering questions till you got 3-4 in a row correct. It was very frustrating, but I think that was much better than the leveling down. I understand practicing more than one day in a row, that's called review, work that in there then, but leveling down is heart-breaking for lots of kids, not everyone resolves to do better next time, many just give up. Better yet, allow the parents/teachers to set the setting to choose what the response is.

I agree. I have reached 95% mastery in khan’s trigonometry course. Just got 9/9 on the unit test. I am interested in taking the “challenge” but even in that you can level down. It discourages one from practicing the math.
