How do I import my Google Classroom roster to Khan Academy?

Aktualisiert

Teachers who are using Google Classroom can import their student roster to Khan Academy to quickly set up their classes.

Teachers can import their Google Classroom student roster to an existing class or by creating a new class. Note: We're only importing your student roster from Google Classroom, any assignment data.

Here are the steps to import your Google Classroom roster to Khan Academy:

  1. Click Add new class from your Teacher Dashboard.
  2. Click on Import class from Google Classroom.
  3. Select which class you'd like to import from Google Classroom
  4. Once the class is created you will be able to view a final message stating the following:
  5. Choose the Khan Academy course(s) you'd like to associate with your class. (Don't worry, this doesn't assign anything to your students though!)

6. Optional final step: visit the "Settings" page of your new class and check the "Sync with Google Classroom" option.
This is for in case a new student joins your Google Classroom, they will automatically be synced onyo your Khan Academy roster.

All set! You’ll notice that your newly created class in Khan Academy has adopted the classroom name from the rostered classroom. You can always later change its name from your class's settings.

How do I get my student's logged in once my Google Classroom is set up?

Students who already have a Khan Academy account:

  • Will automatically be enrolled in your Khan Academy class if the email on their account matches what is on your Google Classroom Roster

Students who do not have a Khan Academy account:

  • Are marked as "Pending" on your Khan Academy roster
