Looking at a new class of 5th graders. I would like to give them short assessments for each grade level to determine what their deficits are. I could assign them the entire course work for K-4, but this is very time consuming and boring for students who have mastered these grade levels. Is there a summary quiz that I can give the students to determine any holes in their understanding of concepts that they should have learned in previous grades?
Thank you. It is my understanding that Course Challenge only quizzes over three content areas, and that student would need to take the Course Challenge several times to be quizzed over all the content areas of the course. My thinking is that it might be just as easy to take the entire course as opposed to taking the Course Challenge several times to get sample questions from the entire course. But . . . I don't know that much about the coverage of the Course Challenge and I don't see much written about it.
All that being said, thank you for the comment - as I think it might still be the best approach to a quick assessment of the students abilities at that grade level.
