Hi, I am a novice regarding these things and I am not able to join the classes and I don't even know how to add a coach

Well, it is quite simple. When you start signing up for a new account, there should be a window popping out saying "what grade are you in". You put your grade level, and then the next thing that comes up is the courses you want to do. You can choose up to 9 courses.

Welcome to Khan Academy! I'd like to clarify that since we're not an accredited institution, we're not able to provide you with a teacher/coach. We also don't offer any official enrollment or registration for classes---all of our courses are available to all students for free, with no enrollment or registration required.

To get started, you can simply select which courses you would like to appear on your Learner Homepage. You can also always access the full list of courses via the Courses dropdown in the top left corner of the page. To help familiarize yourself with the site, I encourage you to take a look at some of our Getting Started and Mastery System guides.
