Ideas to make khan academy more accessible and fun for teenagers :)

Hvordan kan vi hjælpe?

Most study groups have a discord server, and I think Khan Academy should totally make one! I mean think about how useful it would be. You can make friends with other like-minded individuals who are interested in learning, and any question you want answered or any support you might need is so much easier to get. Just create a support channel, and all the questions will be answered. I think it would also increase khan academy's reach, as discord users can invite other users to khan academy's server whenever they need resources for learning. I really think this feature would be useful for both khan academy and the whole world.

Yeah, but that will create a lot of work for KA guardians to make sure that nothing bad is going on in all the conversations like bullying and worse.

emilrichardwang,

I'm not sure you've thought this through.

You wrote "Just create a support channel, and all the questions will be answered." Anyone who wants to answer Questions in a course can already go to the Questions queue for that course, and there are many Questions going unanswered in major courses like '5th grade math'. Who's going to answer these questions just because it's on Discord instead?

I also agree with Bookworm that an official Discord server would create an additional burden for the already-overworked KA Guardians.

If you want to make an unofficial Discord server and invite people to join you through a KA Support Community post, you could probably do that.
