Google Classroom vs. Assign

Hi Ms. Caselle,

Assigning content to Google Classroom only will not add the assignment to your Teacher Dashboard and will not record the student's scores on Khan Academy (or in GC).

In order to record scores and view assignment reports, you have to first assign to your Khan Academy class and then you can also assign the link via Google Classroom. As long as students are signed into their KA accounts on their devices, they can complete the assignment by clicking the link in GC and completing the video/exercise that was assigned.

In what universe would you not want to see what the students do in Khan Academy if you assign it in Google Classroom? It should automatically assign in Khan if you indicate you want it assigned in Google Classroom! I assigned a couple of exercises in Google Classroom once I noticed that was possible and now there is literally no way for me to see what the students did in Khan. Teachers need to see what the students actually do in order to grad assignments and evaluate understanding. That need does not disappear when we link it to Google Classroom

 Is there anyway to go back and see what they did in Khan if it was not set up properly initially?
