Got My First Writing Job in 8th Grade

This is my story with Khan.

I have started learning Grammar in 7th grade. I'm not very good like other kids. I have difficulty remembering things. I failed too many times and realized remembering without understanding is not for me.

Then the magic happened. I joined the Khan Academy and learn things technically and logically. In no time, I have started writing nicely. Now i am better at transferring my thoughts on paper.

My friend told me that you can manage your school expenses by working online. So, i started contacting different websites for writing opportunities.

This was not easy. Because i have contributed my writer to different websites on trail basis and many of them ditch me and never paid back. I have learned the lesson a hard way.

So, i have decided to make my CV and distributed my writing samples on different plateforms like Medium, Ezine.

After waiting 4 months i got my first paid job at t20slam.com, i am not earning very big but i am happy i am earning something as well as learning new things.

My Boss told me to take some web designing courses. Apparently, he is right.

In a nutshell, This is my little story. and i have a great respect for this academy.

Caspar, this is nothing less than inspiring. As a high schooler, I've always looked to find a job/internship to enhance my mostly blank resume, and I know how tough it can be, let along the fact that you're only 8th grade. It's my pleasure to hear that Khan Academy has supported you on your way, it definitely has to me as well. Good luck on your future endeavors, I'm sure you'll achieve great things.

That's awesome to hear! We appreciate that you've now grown your skills and have received a job that you like, especially being in 8th grade. I can relate to you, as a high schooler, I struggled with writing, but with KA I have now been able to write many stories and granted multiple opportunities.

Have fun on your great learning adventure.
