I am afraid that we do not currently offer a feature in Khan Academy itself, however, our team can recommend some browser extensions that may help!
For our users who need a read-aloud feature at Khan Academy, we recommend the use of a screen reader. We've tested various portions of our site with what we believe to be the most popular screen reader + browser combinations:- JAWS (for Windows) + Firefox
- NVDA (for Windows) + Firefox
- VoiceOver (for Mac) + Safari
We also did some testing of these screen readers with the Chrome browser, although industry research currently points to the above screen reader + browser combinations being more common.We're interested in any feedback you have about your experiences with these screen readers, so please feel free to mention your ideas in our discussion forums as well.Thank you! -
We use a chromebook. I tried to download the JAWS software however it requires Windows. I also tried using the settings within the chromebook however it does not work on the Khan website in browser nor the app. Any other suggestions? My son is 4.5 and capable of answering math questions however he cannot read the directions nor the word problems.
