I teach a class that has students at a wide variety of levels in high school mathematics. As a result, I frequently assign mastery challenges covering many different skills.

I would like to be able to identify the most common struggling skills for students or groups within a certain mastery challenge. Perhaps a report that only shows skills with which students are struggling organized by the count of how many students are struggling with that particular skill.

With this report, I could maximize my time with whole class instruction or quickly identify groups for additional support. Thanks!

I did some research and found a few articles that may help you out. This article discusses how to work with the Mastery System and track your students. This article discusses how to use the (new) class progress tab. This article discusses how to use the old progress tab, which helps you analyze individual student progress. Note that the button for the old progress dashboard is accessible at the bottom of the new class progress tab.

Thank you so much for your response. I am familiar with the mastery system, and I reread all the articles that you sent. However, I did not see anything that would identify which skills have the greatest number of struggling students. (I can see numbers of struggling students by skill, but not skills by the number of struggling students).

I am looking for a way to identify exactly which skills have the largest number of struggling students. If I am missing something, please let me know!

I'll go ahead and escalate this thread so your feature request gets on their radar. I'd recommend submitting a support ticket about your request directly to the support team to ensure they queue it for review.

Normally, we try to be careful about recommending ticket submissions with feature requests because it can overwhelm the support team, but since your request is regarding a specific feature needed to analyze classroom data, I think it would be good to send a message over to them with your thoughts.
