In this equation, the 3 in 3(t-1) would represent how much the distance between the two points is increased every trial, not how many points Hannah feels. It would answer the question, "Which inequality best represents the trial numbers in which Arianna makes the points 3 mm more apart every trial?"
We have to consider the amount by which t is increasing. In the equation you presented, the t value increases from 3, and the distance goes up by 3 mm every time.

If Cara hangs the poster so that the center of the poster is located at the center of the wall, how far will the left and right edges of the poster be from the right end of the wall?
