Can I export Student Status Grid?

Hi Catherine- I do not think there is a feature that would allow you to create the type of document you are wanting to create.  I know you can limit the skills you wants to see- and I suppose you could take a screen shot of the grid that is displayed - but that would not include a very large number of skills...I will throw this out to the team and see what they say...

I'm not aware of any way to export the whole grid (or the data behind it) but if the list of skills is shortthen you can search and select them with the filter box and show a grid only with those skills. I do this for my students all the time and it works well although some side-scrolling is required when I select too many skills for a single screen width.

If you need to export the data, the easiest way is probably a simple screen capture as an image. Unless you need it offline, it's probably better to bookmark the grid with selections made so you can come back to it later with all your selected skills intact.

Hi Catherine - we just added additional data export options!  Do these new abilities help address your request?  Any additional thoughts on how they could be improved?

Does this feature still exist? I am trying to download student scores into an excel sheet.... is this gone?

There is no data export option that I can find. There's a huge amount of learning content and basically nothing useful available for reports. I clicked the link at https://support.khanacademy.org/hc/en-us/community/posts/244993967-Update-New-Coach-Report-export-options and there is no instruction how to arrive at the page they are on.

The forum post "Update: New Coach Report export options" is outdated and refers to Missions— a feature that was removed in June 2020, as it was written in an old code base that was no longer sustainable, leading to several bugs.

At the moment, our Progress report does not have a printable version available. As an alternative, you could access the Progress page on your students' Khan Academy accounts and take screenshots of the report. This same option could be useful to report the progress achieved on courses and units throughout our platform.

In addition, though there's no way to download a report that shows all of your students' work on Khan Academy, you can download a .CSV file containing your students' assignments data from your class's settings page.

For more than a tiny class of students, screen shots are unusable as a way of getting data from the system. What many of us have been crying out for (for years) is what used to be available - a simple downloadable .csv file containing *all* student data. I doesn't matter what format the data is in, simply that it's internally consistent.

I'll keep an eye on Khan Academy but have not actively used it for a few years now because they removed all the tools that made it useful. When I used to use it heavily in 2016-2017, I had over 200 students on there, but this would be impossible as Khan Academy is currently set up :-(
