What are the AP Calculus courses?

The AP Calculus courses are a part of a suite of AP courses offered by College Board. These courses offer a way to get college credit during high school. They might be well known in the US, but not necessarily outside of it.

There are two AP Calculus courses: AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC. The syllabus of the AB course is entirely included within the syllabus of the BC course. In addition to the AB material, the BC course covers parametric equations, polar coordinates, and vector-valued functions; infinite sequences and series; and other select advanced topics. Khan Academy’s AP Calculus courses were created in collaboration with College Board, and their structure is tightly aligned to the officially recommended structure.

Who should use the AP Calculus courses?

These courses were designed to help AP Calculus students. Furthermore, since these are the most highly prioritized courses, we recommend any independent learner to use one of these (either AB or BC, based on how advanced they want to be).
