how does child log in with no email address of their own?
my kids are 9&10 and don't have email addresses. I see them listed as my children when I log in as the parent...but how do THEY log in to do any work??

Hi everyone!
I’d like to clarify that, although your child might be using your email address as their parent, their Khan Academy account is not associated with it as you do not share the same login information.
Please note that the emails, usernames, and passwords (for example) are different between your account and your child's.
Also, you cannot log in to your child’s account by clicking their name on the Parent Dashboard.
In order for your child to log into their own Khan Academy account, you must log off (or sign out) of yours and have your child log in using a combination of their own username and password. Once your child has logged in to their account and starts working there, all of their activity will be registered there as intended.
In case you’d like additional resources for the parent experience at Khan Academy, I’ve curated some articles from our Help Center below:
Getting Started with Khan Academy and Khan Academy Kids for Distance Learning (Parents)— this webinar can help you through the whole parent experience.
I hope this helps!
If you go to the log in button, you can press log in with google then after you do that you are able to create a profile for them and select lessons and activities. You can also search up lessons.
To create a Khan Academy account, your children have to have an email account. You will need to make email accounts for your children for them to be able to have accounts.
Many schools create accounts for students with emails that the schools provide, but it does not sound like this is what you are doing...
Khan Academy will not require further use of any email after account creation(unless a password change is needed, if someone forgets their password) , but for initial creation, they do require a DOB and email.
Hope this helps!
Hi Kim,
To clarify, children under 13 are not required to have emails listed on their accounts. In fact, all child users who are under 13 should not have emails listed on their account, nor does the system allow them to enter an email address.
If you're seeing your children listed on your Parent Dashboard, then they already have accounts created for them. To log in, they should use the username and password on their account. If you need to view their username or change their password, you can do so by clicking the "Edit settings" button next to their name on your Parent Dashboard. There's also an instruction sheet here.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
