It says "These changes apply for students who are in a classroom on Khan Academy. Independent learners who are not in a classroom, will continue with the current experience." so hopefully this mean...

ThegreatCoder I agree. I found that kind of UI infantile by the time I reached middle school, but I don't particularly care unless it affects the parts of KA that I use (discussions, programs, levels)

hold on, is this REPLACING the old UI for everyone, not just students in classrooms? If so, that is quite an illogical move.
