New Assignment Window No Longer Remembering

Hi there. I assign a lot of work to my students, often multiple units at a time, and each of my 20 students gets work assigned individually. I do this by individual exercise. Prior to about a month ago, the window that comes up when you click "Assign" on an individual exercise would remember what I had inputted previously. Now, it resets to a certain class and "All students," and the due date is set to the day after I'm assigning it. 

I've tried signing out and signing back into my account, I've cleared my history for the website, but no luck. I'm wondering if this is due to a change on the website's back end, or if this could be a cookie or history issue on my end? It's a little thing but with the way I assign work it takes a lot more time than it did when the Assign window remembered my previous input. Please help!
