Hi tjwillenborg,
Thank you for the suggestion! I can definitely see how being able to do the sections out of order would be helpful!
I've shared this feedback with the appropriate team for further consideration as we continue to improve our SAT prep platform.
In the meantime, I suggest focusing on doing the writing practice exercises, rather than the full-length practice tests. This will best help you focus on the skills that you struggle most with and will allow you to work exclusively on the writing questions without having to skip content and negatively affect your practice progress.
Thanks again! Please let me know if you have any additional suggestions or questions!

Correction: Finally found the exercises you were referring to. I think I'll do some of those, though it's a bit hard to tell exactly which ones I should practice. Previous response left below.
Unfortunately, that doesn't work all that well (at least for me), because writing is my only real problem, and the exercises provide reading content much of the time.
I can make it through the exercises without missing a question, and can usually do the same on the mini tests - without the larger block of questions from the real practice tests, the exercises have no data to work with.
Separating the reading and writing exercises would work here as well. I'm not sure how highly correlated reading and writing scores are in general, however I do know that my reading scores are enough higher than writing that having them grouped together isn't working very well.
