Ok im not a very good explainer but i will do my best. There are 2 pairs of like terms you can combine here the ones with the n and the ones that are by themselves. So you can combine -3n and-6n and u can combine -7 and 1. Adding the terms with n is just like normal addition or subtraction with the n next to them and combining -7 and 1 is just normal addition and subtraction. I hope this was helpful! Also there is no specific order you have to go in.
Answer Do Not Read If U Want To Solve Above Question On Your Own:
-9n-6
Thank you! And is does the way you add change? Like does it differ from having to add to subtract or does it stay the same for every problem like this?
Not really because if u have 1-7 for example u can always change that to -7 +1 to make it easier because subtraction u can only do it one way right but if u change it to addition then u can flip around the numbers so that it is easy for yourself and when ever ur doing a problem like this changing everything to addition is always so much easier. Also u know how it was -3n subtract 7 interpret that as -3n + (-7).
