Assignment Scores: Not showing highest score

I'm having the same problem! Can we switch to showing scores from "last" attempt or "best" attempt?

Same issue here. It is frustrating to have to click on individual assignments to figure our the correct score. I have many students who were showing as a 0% on the score dashboard, but when I clicked on the report they actually got all problems correct on their last attempt!

This is still a problem.  I am seeing it in 8th grade math, Algebra I, and Statistics and Probability assignments.  When will they respond?  We need this resolved ASAP!

Well the best answer I've got is to go to to "manage" on the left of the screen, and then under the "completed" column, click the ratio and then you can see each individual's best score. 

So, my understanding is that a student can attempt a single question multiple times and then also attempt the entire problem set multiple times. The "First" and "Last" refers to their multiple attempts on the individual problem. But, the report shows their score for their best attempt on the entire exercise or quiz. So, if I get one question wrong out of 4, but attempt that individual question again within that first attempt (on the entire exercise) and get it right, then my Last attempt will show correct. However my report would show 3 out 4 correct. If I go back and complete the entire set of 4 questions again and get them all correct with one attempt. . So, if I get a question wrong and then try again and get it correct, then their report will change to 4 out 4.

Right, my previous explanation was a bit confusing. So, the correct answers you are seeing in the second screen shot reflect their multiple attempts at getting a single question correct. What this suggest is that questions 1-6 were wrong the first attempt and then they hit Try Again and got it correct at some point. However, they only attempted the entire exercise set once. Hence, the Attempts in the bottom screen = 1. It is confusing because their are multiple attempts for individual questions and entire problems sets being tracked. The "View report" shows attempts for individual problems. The last screen shot shows attempts for the entire assignment.

So this shows what Tim Psaradelis is explaining.  This means that this student did individual questions multiple times and got them correct eventually, but did not go back and re-do the whole assignment. 

The grade on Khan shows the first attempt of each individual question within an overall attempt at the assignment.  The student can only change their overall score if they go and re-do the whole assignment and get those questions correct on the first attempt.

This still does not make sense.  These assignments only have 4 questions.  If a student gets a question wrong or uses a hint, it marks it incorrect and moves to the next question.  It doesn't give more than 4 questions at a time in my experience. 

KA is showing different data for first and last attempt, yet it is only showing 1 attempt.  Something is not working properly.

It has never done this in my classes until last week!

Lynn, I think it is working the way it is designed to, but it is admittedly a very confusing design.  First and last attempt refer to the individual question, not the overall problem set. 

The student only has 1 shot at each question for their overall grade. If they get it wrong on the first try, then they lose that question (even if they go back and re-do that individual question). 

The only way for them to re-deem their grade is to go and re-do the whole problem set again and get all the questions right on the first try. 

No, it doesn't allow for more than the set # of questions, but will let them attempt a particular problem many times. Though the score is always out of the set #.
