Grammar

Hello Shelley! My name is Lisa Krueger and I am a Khan Academy Ambassador teaching in Chicago. I used the Grammar section for both 5th & 6th grade students but feel it could be easily used for upper grades. Each of the modules starts out with basics then build in complexity. For example, the noun module starts with Identifying Nouns and ends with an Irregular Noun review. I'm attaching a word doc I created to use with the Noun section to give you an idea. Also, most of my students did not complete the Grammar section as some of the modules were too advanced. I used a game based site to reinforce student knowledge: Quia; as well as Quill to help students test their knowledge. Hopefully, this helps. Thank you for posting and Good luck!

I just wanted to provide you with a students perspective currently I almost completed the grammar section unfortunately I still have to do a incredible amount of work in punctuation and in general grammar itself. As I have gotten a grade 7 grammar work book I will also be adding free grammar worksheets in conjunction with Khan Academy to improve my overall writing. On being a self-learner I highly recommend finding extra practice to further improve grammar the more you write the better understanding of punctuation, proper grammar form will help in future work especially when you're at a. college level.
