I hope this finds you quickly and well. Are you utilizing Google classroom with a school domain? When you go to the Khan Academy website and click login, the students should be given an option to log in with their Google account. This is the option you will use.

If you add the assignment to their Google Classroom it will link them directly to the lesson you want them to view. I am typically very specific in the instructions section as to what I expect out of my students.
