How do I set up rostering with Khan Academy and Learning Paths?

Đã cập nhật

If your district is getting ready to use Khan Academy with Learning Paths, you’ll need to set up rostering through Clever and connect your NWEA MAP Growth data. This process involves a few key steps to make sure teachers and students can access everything smoothly.

Step 1: Set up your district on Clever

Clever is free for districts, and it’s the first step to rostering with Learning Paths. Visit the Clever website to begin your setup.

Important: The first sync between your Student Information System (SIS) and Clever can take a few weeks. Start early to avoid delays in launching Learning Paths.

Step 2: Roster with Clever for MAP Growth

To sync MAP Growth RIT scores into Learning Paths:

  • Make sure your students are rostered with NWEA in Clever.

  • Students must be rostered using their district email addresses.

Note: Students need at least one MAP Growth test result in the last three terms to receive a RIT score in Learning Paths.

Step 3: Add NWEA Instructional Connections

In your NWEA account, add Khan Academy / Learning Paths as an Instructional Connections Provider.

Step 4: Request applications in Clever

Request access to both the Khan Academy and Learning Paths applications in Clever.

Note: If you don’t see them, please contact Khan Academy Rostering support for help.

Step 5: Set up Clever sharing rules for Learning Paths

Be sure to only share:

  • Math classes

  • (Optional) Advisory/Intervention classes for relevant grades

Important: Learning Paths supports content through Algebra 1 and Geometry.

All teachers and students must have:

  • A district email address

  • Date of birth entered for students

Step 6: Add co-teachers in SIS (if applicable)

If interventionists, or other staff, need access to Math classes:

  • Add them in your SIS as co-teachers.

  • Each class can have up to 9 co-teachers.

Step 7: Set up Clever sharing rules for Khan Academy

Use the same sharing rules as Learning Paths, and also:

  • Include any additional subjects or grades that may use Khan Academy or Khanmigo.

For example, if grades 5–8 will use Khan Academy for all subjects:

  • Include Khanmigo access if your district is using it.

Step 8: Confirm student license coverage

Make sure the students you share in both Clever and Khan Academy are included in your student license agreement.

Step 9: Add sharing rules for staff

Don’t forget to include non-teaching staff—such as administrators or coaches—who need access to reports or data.

Step 10: Configure the Clever portal

Finally, make sure both the Khan Academy and Learning Paths icons appear in your Clever portal.

Teachers and students can use either icon to access both platforms.

✅ Once these steps are complete, your district will be fully rostered and ready to use Khan Academy with Learning Paths.
