Would Like To See Spelling Added

I have a third (soon to be fourth) grade homeschooler. We love Khan Academy for the math practice. We use it in addition to a curriculum we already have and it really reinforces what my daughter is learning. We've been using Khan Academy for a few years now. We'd really appreciate it (and I'm sure thousands of other homeschool families would as well) if you could add a spelling section to Khan Academy. Simple videos on spelling rules followed by practice would be very much appreciated for grades K-6. I'm always telling other parents about math on Khan Academy. Please help us out with spelling too!

Hi RJT, thanks for adding your voice. Please vote up a previous suggestion because checking the popular topics by votes will be easier for the employees than trying to count everyone who has suggested something about spelling : )

I agree. We have been using Khan for 3 weeks now and I would like to have all subjects for our elementary children added. We need history, science, and spelling as well :-)

Spelling is the biggest issue for many kids today who did not learn it the way we did when we were in school. We had spelling all the way through school, learned phonics, and the importance of it was recognized. It isn't now. (I am writing on my son's account). 100 cite (sight?) words and stop teaching spelling at 5th grade? Appalling. (Florida) I have tried to find ways to help him, but he's in high school now and I am NO teacher. Khan engages him, at least, so this platform might actually help him if you could add it. We only just discovered Khan about a month ago. Will definitely be donating. So appreciated.
