Assigning Course Mastery Goal before students join course

Hi, I'd like to get my class set up for a summer assignment with Course Mastery Goals, but the students will be joining the class at different times. If I create the goals in the course, will they automatically be added to all of the students learner dashboards, or would I need to assign each student the goals individually?

If they are students and they have connected their accounts to your teacher account using the "Teachers" tab in the "My account" section of their learner dashboard using either a class code or inputting your email address then they should be automatically assigned all course assignments.

It will not assign the course mastery automatically. The next time you open the class after the new student joined you will be prompted to assign them a course mastery goal. It looks like the banner below:
