Tips & Thanks on Khan Academy programs.

On some programs, mostly newspapers there are threads in the tips and thanks, were all the members talk. I was just recently on a member thread, then I left. Then I got a notification, of some one posting a comment on the thread. when I went over, all the threads were gone. even the ones not by the newspaper account.

Is there any particular reason why this happens, because this has happened in the past, and the threads then come back.

Do any of the guardians do something, or is there some thing wrong with Khan Academy doing this?

Hi MrPenguin2,

Sometimes, there may be a minor malfunction that prevents you from being able to temporarily access the comments and posts left by people. When this happens. it would be suggested to close your current browser then open it again. It should work that way.

If there is only one thread that is hidden, that may either be a Guardian or the AI (Artificial Intelligence). If a thread has three flags, the AI will immediately hide that thread for "low quality". In addition, a Guardian might see that thread as "Off Topic" and hide that thread.

Thank you for your help William.That helps me understand better.

However, I was wondering why all the threads in the tips and thanks do not show? I've restarted my computer, and changed the browser however at some points in time all the tips and thanks threads are not showing, I also notice this happen to other people.

Do you know why this is?

HI MrPenguin,

If none of the threads show, this is probably due to a bug on your computer. You can send in Support Requests to the Khan Academy Support Team and they can look into your account and fix any bugs. Sometimes it happens to me as well, but it shouldn't happen often.

Hi William,

I don't think that is the problem. There is nothing wrong with my computer. I was apart of a group called CCC we were having a conversation, when all of sudden the threads didn't show up. This problem accured for every one. Then five minutes later, the threads showed up, for every one.

Also another event, I was having a conversation with the members of KAPaper, then the threads didn't show up. Quinn

(The CEO) also had the same problem. Then 5 minutes later, the threads showed up.

When this problem does accrue, all the threads do not show, and I do not think every one who left a T&T would of deleted there there comment. I also don't think it is my computer, because I don't think every ones computer would have the same affect at the same time.

Could his be guardians doing?
