I set up my child's own account and linked it to mine as a parent. Before I did this, I looked at the sample schedules for the grade (4th) and there were reading comprehension components but I can't find anything like that to add to his courses. There is Math and Grammar and Computer Science. Where can I find them or how do I add them?

Every Khan Academy content can still be assigned manually without the need for the course to be added in the Class subject line.
I’ve outlined the steps to go about doing this here:
Step 1:
Go to the search bar at the upper left-hand side of your screen and type in the name of the course needed
Step 2:
After you go to the page you can view the content, and then click on the topic that you want to assign content from.
Step 3:
Once you have chosen the exercise you want, click on it and the following page will appear to assign the content to the corresponding class.
Step 4:
From here, you can choose which class you assign it to, the due date and if you assign it immediately or save for later use.
Step 5:
Click on Assign or Save to complete.
