Is it possible to assign ahead of time?

I am looking for a way to assign assignments early that won't show up on student pages until they are needed. For example, I would like to assign a set of assignments to be available Monday morning but would like to assign them when I do my weekly planning the weekend before. Is this possible?

Based on feedback that you and other teachers shared with our team, we’ve added the ability to schedule assignments for a future date and time. We hope you will enjoy this new feature, and we welcome any feedback you have about them.

You can save and assign later, but you do need to go back in to the saved assignments to make them live. There isn't a way to schedule assignments to open when you want.
