Teachers want the old progress page (please upvote!)

Jeff, you can find time spent in the new progress page now though flipping back and forth is a pain. They have changed how they measure time spent to be "more accurate." Over the summer they did make some good improvements to the new progress page though I think it is still a bit lacking. If you haven't, I would suggest poking around to see what is and is not useful for you.

There is a difference between the mission goal percentage completed when looking at the new progress page versus the old progress page.  Which is more accurate?  I grade my students based on this percentage so I would like to be fair in my grading.

They have removed the time in skills and the individual time on each problem. It is now time to find a new program as these were very important to tracking my students.  Testing out the ALEKS program and it is giving most of the information I need. Also has printable assignments.   

I agree with these comments. I just don't see how this new progress view is an improvement. It is prettier and more strikingly visual, but it is not more useful. it is aesthetics at the cost of functionality. Don't reinvent the wheel. It would be better to take the old progress bar and incorporate the aesthetics of the new, than to replace the very well thought out and functional old progress view with something pretty and frustrating. Just my two cents.

They have dumbed down the interface so that it's not as useful or helpful.

This is why we stopped using KA.

Would be nice if they allowed folks/teachers to export the data out of KA so at least that way it wouldn't be lost.

All of the graphs , time spent on videos vs exercises ... poof, gone.
