I want to study biology. Which course to do first?

I'm 29 and working towards being a veterinary nurse and would like to do biology. For work and just general curiosity. I didn't do any sciences, math etc at school. Which courses should I do leading up to biology? And is 'Biology archive' a better plage to start or would it be middle school biology?
