High School Students doing Missions in Pre-Algebra and Algebra I
Hello all,
This is Jerry, i am teaching a Math class for 11th and 12th Grade students who have missed a lot of math over the years in middle school and high school.
I split my class and assigned them Missions, Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I was just stunned to read that i should expect my students to be in the mission for 20 to 40 hours. There is not enough time in the rest of the semester to have them finish these missions completely in and with current expectations outside of my classroom. I also want to teach them some other practical math in Measurement, Geometry and Finance.
Is there a logical place where i can stop my students with only a part of the mission complete? Ideas please.
Also any ideas out there for motivation? How do you tie effort or time on KA to Grades? I have some students with almost 2 hours online and some with 0.
HELP ME Mr. Wizard?
Jerry
