Are there tests or assessments available on the Khan Academy site to evaluate the learning of my student who is taking the Javascript and the Microeconomics lessons? We are using Khan Academy as the sole curriculum content in these areas for my son's homeschooling, and I need him to take tests or create projects from time to time throughout both courses.
Hello Andi! My name is Lisa Krueger and I am a Khan Academy Ambassador teaching in Chicago. I had to do a bit of research into the Microeconomics lessons to get an answer for you. There appear to be checks throughout the content materials but no true assessment similar to the Mastery Challenges in the missions. One suggestion would be to give students a Video Protocol to complete while watching the various videos to ensure they are taking in the information being presented. Here are some samples:
As for the Javascript there are Challenges along the way in which users demonstrate their mastery of the content. I would have your students take screen shots of their Challenges and email them to you for documentations. I know this is cumbersome but until you can assign these subjects as missions it is the best work around I can think of. Please let me know if you have further questions, comments, or suggestions.
