Hello,

I am stumped on number 36 on the calculator OK part, and there is no explanation for the correct answer: 750.

In the xy-plane, if a point with coordinates (a, b) lies in the solution set of the system of inequalities below, what is the maximum possible value of b?

y less than or equal to -15x + 3000

y less than or equal to 5x

now it is given that y is less or equal to -15x+3000 and also to 5x, than set these two equal to each other. solve. Now once you have an answer of 150. we take 15x+5x, and dive 3000 by 20x that laves x=150. plug it back into any one of the equation we get y. b on y plane and a is on x plane, so b = 750.
