That would definitely be nice, but we do need some dark color to reduce eye strain when we are looking at our screens for 6-9 hours a day

With the global pandemic and having to look at a screen for hours a day, dark mode will help a lot. The chrome://flags force dark mode is useful for many websites but it makes khan academy unusable.
