Better assignment sort in iphone app

When assigning multiple sequential lessons, e.g. 2 videos and their corresponding assignments, the order of the assignments is not ideal. For instance, oftentimes, later lessons (if assigned multiple) are shown on their to do list after the videos used to instruct those assignments. 

Ideally, assignments are shown in their natural lesson/sequential order, as it seems the course is designed to first watch the video, then do the work. Or if multiple assignments progress in difficulty, one would want the earlier requisite assignments to appear first in the sort order (iphone mobile).

Context: tutoring math outside of a classroom for high school equivalency test.
