Connecting to childs account

Hello, 

My daughter just signed up for Khan academy.  She used the user name "karinaiskool".  I received an email asking to approve her account.  I am trying to approve it but its asking for her email.  She says it didnt ask for an email when she logged in, just a user name and password and my email for approval.  When i try to approve her, it wont allow me to do so unless i input her email.  When i do, it is not connected to her account because she hasnt put it in her own account.  How can i connect her to my account?
