Creating a way to sync progress to external websites

Me and I'm sure many others are working to create guides for SAT. I wanted to create to teach others about how to use desmos that would be completely free, which would be used in conjunction with Khan Academy's amazing lessons/videos. Creating a system that would allow a external website to "sync" (i.e. gather lesson progress), would be a great feature as it would update live, and allow for a unified experience. 

I understand there would need to be privacy/security protections, and I would be happy to help on creating a system like thing. Even a basic progress-sync API would be extremely helpful for students, tutors, and independent educators building free resources.
