are questions on a unit test different when you retake it?

Generally yes, the questions on Unit Tests will differ between attempts, but it sort of depends on the course and unit. The system will try to show different questions per attempt, but eventually students will begin seeing repeats once they take the test enough times. The number of attempts required to see repeats will vary depending on how many questions are in the test bank. Most test banks have enough questions that memorizing all of the answers would be rather difficult, but again, the number of questions available varies depending on the course/unit.

For this reason, I wouldn't recommend using the Unit Test as a formal assessment in the classroom setting if you're concerned about students seeing repeat questions and memorizing answers.
