Mixed Numbers on App messed up

When writing a mixed number, I can either write a whole number, a fraction, or a "backwards" mixed number (where the faction is to the left, and the whole number is to the right).

After investigating, I believe I see what you mean. Have you tried writing the fraction first and then moving the green cursor to the front and inserting the whole number?

Yes. I finally got it. I have to write the whole number fist, then cross my fingers, and then hit the fraction button. Not always effective, but I got through the quiz. No, I'm on a cell phone, the cursor won't move over to the left.

On my phone (Moto Z2 Play, Android 8.0.0), after entering the fraction part, I can very carefully tap to the left of it and type the when number part.
