this is the question... I am doing according to the lesson but the answer is not the same Please help

3.166666

10x = 31.66666

x = 3.16666

28/9 = 3 1/9

answer on system 3 1/6 what am i missing

28/9 = 3 1/9 is actually equal to 3.1111... .

What this problem is showing is 3.16666... , with sixes following the one that is just after the decimal point. Try your problem again, keeping in mind that the decimal value of 0.16666... is not equal to 1/9. If you figure out what the decimal value of 0.16666... is, then you should easily see why the system answer is correct.
