1. Subtract 3z from both sides.
2. Add 1 to both sides.
3. Add 6 to both sides.
4. Divide both sides by the coefficient of z that resulted from step 1. (If you are not familiar with the word "coefficient", it is the number that is in front of the variable z. For example, at the beginning of this problem, the coefficient of the z term on the left side is 3, and the one on the left side is 8.) I do not want to mention what the actual number to divide by here is because that would be giving you too much instead of having you solve this problem on your own.
Remember, you can also group the numbers that don't have z after them.
