How to improve reading and writing section SAT.

I, as an international student, was thinking that it would be better if the reading and writing section by adding some kind of vocabulary to it. I find it very hard to comprehend some of the words in the passage. Although this is the point of doing the passage (It is hard to get the meaning of them), as we are practicing we can even learn the new words so as the next time we face them we know the word's meaning.
