I know this site has been around for a very long time. I thought I remembered there being content for kids in other areas than just Math. It has science...but I don't think my 8 year old is quite ready for organic chemistry... Why in all these years has there been no development toward other subjects than math for children? Am I missing something?

Hello Steve! My name is Lisa Krueger and I am a Khan Academy Ambassador teaching in Chicago. I use KA with 3rd & 4th grade students for a variety of subjects including grade level math, Hour of Code, Grammar, and American Museum of Natural History as well as various videos I assign on a number of topics. I've included a screen shot of all the subjects KA has available. You can also use the search feature to find specific videos & exercises. Hopefully this has helped. Thank you for posting.
Hello Steve, I use selected videos to assist in teaching a liberal arts math class at a university. The adult students like the way the problems are worked through by Sal. They can also decide to watch reminder videos in areas they might be weak, like Fractions.
So Khan is not just for kids. Good math tools for adults. As for other subjects, i cant really comment.
