What is the best or easiest way to track and reward the progress of my four children on Kahn?

I am trying to reward my four children for their progress on Khan. I had used Khan about four years ago with my oldest son and remembered the math section to be set up like a journey with goals that could be completed. Now the system seems a bit more complicated with missions and points and mastery and so fourth. Can anyone recommend a simple way for me to track their progress in a way that I can offer them rewards for completing tasks and learning topics? My son did the biology unit last night and we were having a hard time understanding if he actually completed it or not. There was no test or anything to ensure he learned the material...?

Hi malcolmdrex,

I recommend having your kids work through the videos if they haven't already learned the topic. To practice what they have learned, they can complete some of the practice exercises. And finally, to check their understanding, they can work through the mission. You could then offer rewards for reaching set goals in the mission or videos.

We are currently working on a new version of the mastery system that will allow users to master skills by completing the practices exercises, quizzes, and tests, rather than having to work through the mission. This new system will hopefully make things a little easier, however I am not sure when it will be released.
