Unfortunately, I doubt any KA course can be designed and implemented in just a few months -- that's just not practical for a non-profit with limited resources.  I think it took them at least 2 year...

I agree that it would be helpful for KA to put that information at the beginning of the unit.  Many many users of the 6th grade math course ask exactly those questions on the first video of a unit....
