Hi, 

I want some changes with the ELA Courses. I want all reading and vocabulary courses to be placed with reading and writing for all grade levels. The building background knowledge lessons with the welcome to the unit and the unit vocabulary with the practices may stay. Also, for all grade levels; a language arts course with spelling, vocabulary, word study, grammar, and usage will be added. The original grammar course will be removed. With the reading and writing courses, there will be 9 units. Units 3, 6, and 9 will have writing with many prompts with the writing standards. There will be writing organizers for every writing prompt. Units 2, 5, and 8 will have reading comprehension with literary texts, poetry, informational texts, and argumentative texts. Poetry will be the Reading Literary standard. Units 1, 4, and 7 will have reading standards. This is for grades 2 - 12.
