Hi Ryssa! In Bohr's Electronic model, the electrons follow the 2n² rule, where n is the principal quantum number that represents the shell number.

So, the first shell, K, can hold a maximum of 2(1)² = 2 electrons.
The second shell, L, can hold a maximum of 2(2)² = 8 electrons.
The third shell, m, can hold a maximum of 2(3)² = 18 electrons, however, it holds only a maximum of 8 electrons as that offers a stable electronic configuration as per the octet rule. I'll recommend reading that up if you haven't already.

Also, until one shell is fully filled, i.e., doesn't have the maximum number of electrons that it can hold, filling of electrons does not occur in the next shell.

For a neutral atom, the number of electrons is always equal to that of protons. Based on these are you able to figure the answer out? :)
