Hello, Samuel Davis, Sped Teacher from Springfield Mo here again. I had another thought about an addition to Khan that could be helpful to some of my Sped students, and students in general. Currently our district uses a paid subscription service for a program which allows Sped students to work on developing automaticity with their multiplication tables, the one caveat is, that a student must have a math goal written into their IEP to be eligible for this service. Since there are other kinds of disabilities besides a SLD in Math which can negatively impact a students development of their Math skills, Language Impairment, ADHD,  and Emotional Disturbance for instance, there's a percentage of Sped students who could use a program that works to develop those core skills, who are not currently eligible for our district software program. While Sped teachers could go and write in a goal for these students, the amount of time invested to do that verses the benefit it would achieve for the number of students impacted, makes this scenario not likely. These students can be in a regular math class with support, and pass, but lag behind their peers due to their weak grasp of basic concepts. A software program which could help these kinds of students develop that automatic grasp on foundation Math skills such as their multiplication tables would be very helpful.
