In the notes in property insurance, it says that it covers: fires, theft, vandalism, and storms ( does not cover flooding) but when asked what might raise the insurance rate I put home with few natural disasters since that's what the insurance covers. Why is the answer flooding why would flooding increase my rate if my insurance doesn't cover it and I would be paying out of pocket?
