It looks like they changed it to text, which I think is better.

My only suggestion would be for it to show how many exercises / challenges you completed. For example in the math section it might say: 13 of 36 complete (10% exercises mastered).

Glad to see them back. I've been using the old TOC as there was simply no way to easily navigate the new design without them. Still don't know why they are so small and while text would work Paul, I don't need to know the exact number at this level and the visual icons give me all the info I need and alert me to added material in subjects already covered which I might miss if in the text.

I really think whoever is behind the new design was really overthinking things and made things way harder than they had to be. 

We've been struggling with contradictions between what shows complete at the Mission Level and on subsequent TOC's. For example, on a particular grade we show totally complete on the old TOC, yet show 7 lessons not started on the new TOC but only 1 not started if you read the the sub topic level text description and then nothing shows up as un-started when you click on the actual sub-topic.

I'm hoping it is a temporary glitch caused by the progress indicators but we will see.

Paul, the graphic icons they use on the home page use different shades of color to show the difference between practiced / level 1 / 2 / and mastered and eliminate the need to translate them into different languages. I'm sure why they wouldn't just standardize and use them across KA unless it is because they have shrunken everything down to fit on a phone.

For that matter, as long as there is a textual title alongside it you don't really need a specific design in the middle of the icon and the whole thing could simply be used to graphically indicate progress. I think you could lose the word "progress" as the meaning of 90% is pretty clear, and that would make it more readable even at its current reduced size.
